How to get YouTube TV back on your Roku
Updating your Roku might be bring YouTube TV back
Roku and Google have yet to say what the exact cause of this issue is (via 9to5Google). Roku says “we’re aware of the issue where YouTube TV is missing for some users and are investigating.” Luckily, there are two methods users have been found to sucessfully YouTube TV back on their Roku devices.
The first is the easiest, and involves simply updating your Roku device to the latest software update. Here’s how you can do this on your Roku.
1. Press Home on your Roku remote.
2. Select Settings.
3. Choose Software update.
4. Select Check Now.
5. Your Roku will now be updated.
If updating your Roku doesn’t work, you can also access YouTube TV via the regular YouTube app instead. Thankfully, the YouTube app hasn’t disappeared, and you can access YouTube TV through it by navigating to the left-hand menu of the app, scrolling to the bottom, and selecting YouTube TV.
This is quite an odd issue to suddenly arise, so I hope Roku can get to the bottom of it soon. However, it seems a simple software update resolves the issue if you’ve encountered it on your Roku device.
